About Mirek & Linda Hufton

Pastor Mirek was born in England and grew up in South Africa where his parents were missionaries. They moved to the United States when Mirek was a teenager and he graduated from North Springs High School here in Atlanta. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University, and went on to spend many successful years in corporate sales. Pastor Linda was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. While she was attending college, she had an amazing encounter with God that changed her life forever. She became very active in worship music and youth ministry.   After receiving her nursing degree she began her career in oncology nursing. They were married in 1983, and were blessed with 3 wonderful children; Tessa, Chris and Grace.

In 1987, Pastor Mirek felt strongly called to leave his career in corporate sales and devote his life to full-time ministry. He served as an associate pastor of a thriving local Atlanta church for 4 years.

They felt strongly that God was leading them to begin a new work in the city of Roswell. In the fall of 1991, with the blessing of their pastor, they pioneered World Harvest Church in Roswell, Georgia. The church has grown steadily through the years, changing locations to aid in expansion. The church has progressed from a children’s classroom, to a small furniture store lovingly called “The Shoebox”, to a storefront on Alpharetta Highway, and finally to acquire land and build their own building, moving in October 2000.

World Harvest Church presently enjoys an active membership of over 1,200. It has a wonderful mix of people; including many cultures, different economic backgrounds, young and old, families and singles. The focus of the church is to build a strong, loving, family community who are trained and inspired to introduce God's love to people who have not yet discovered Him.  Also, there is a strong emphasis in world missions, developing a heart that reaches out to the nations of the world. Pastor Mirek Hufton is the author of 2 books; “Faith has a Voice” and “Receiving God’s Mercy” – his personal testimony of healing from terminal cancer.
